Privacy Policy
Busyclock is a free time tracking and invoicing tool for freelancers. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.
1. What we collect
- Email address — collected when you create an account, used only for authentication and account recovery.
- Time entries — descriptions, durations, project assignments, and dates you log while using the app.
- Projects and clients — names, hourly rates, and currencies you configure.
- Invoices — invoice numbers, line items, totals, client names, and addresses you enter.
- Business profile — your name, business address, email, and VAT number if you fill them in (used only to populate your invoices).
We do not collect payment information, browsing behaviour, analytics, or any data beyond what you explicitly enter.
2. Why we collect it
All data is collected solely to provide the Busyclock service: to save your tracked time, generate invoices, and sync your data across devices. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
3. Who we share it with
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your data is stored in Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase is GDPR-compliant and acts as a data processor on our behalf. See their privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
- Vercel — our hosting provider for the website files. Vercel does not have access to your account data. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
No other third parties receive your data.
4. How long we keep it
Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account from the Settings page, all your time entries, projects, invoices, and profile data are deleted immediately. The email address associated with your account is removed from our authentication system within 30 days.
5. Your rights under GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you have the following rights:
- Access — you can export all your time entries as CSV at any time from the Reports page.
- Rectification — you can edit your data directly in the app.
- Erasure — you can delete your account and all data from Settings at any time.
- Portability — export your data as CSV from the Reports page.
- Restriction and objection — contact us at the email below and we will respond within 30 days.
6. Cookies and local storage
Busyclock uses only strictly necessary session cookies and browser local storage to keep you logged in. We do not use any tracking, analytics, or marketing cookies. No cookie consent banner is required because we only use essential cookies.
7. Data location
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure. We recommend confirming the region in use with Supabase's documentation. If you have questions about data residency, contact us at the address below.
8. Contact
